The CDFI Fund of the U.S. Department of Treasury has announced that Boston Community Capital has been awarded $3.75 million in grant funding to support lending that expands access to housing, healthy foods, education, quality jobs, and other opportunities.
Boston Community Loan Fund was awarded a $1.75 million Financial Assistance award to leverage additional investment in nonprofits and community organizations along with a $2 million Healthy Food Financing Initiative award to create access to fresh, healthy foods in low-income neighborhoods and food deserts.
Over 450 applications were submitted for these funds, with 158 receiving funding. Boston Community Capital congratulates its fellow awardees!
